Pokémon Liquid Crystal is a ROM hack of Fire Red and offers an extensive expansion of the original features.

Pokémon Liquid Crystal: Kanto, Johto and the Orange Archipelago

Pokémon Liquid Crystal was developed by creator linkandzelda and is slightly different compared to other ROM hacks. Although the game uses the Fire Red Edition as a basis, the entire storyline of Pokémon Crystal was recreated and expanded.

• You can travel through Kanto and Johto as usual with adapted graphics and an expanded soundtrack. A highlight of the ROM hack is the Orange Archipelago known from the anime, which awaits you with a new story, trainers and numerous Pokémon.

• You can catch all the Pokémon from the first three generations and try out the new battle mechanics and events. There’s even an update to the Trainer House in Vertania City to put your fighting skills to the test.

• Other features of the fan game include day and night changes, as well as weather to match the region. This even affects the catch rate of certain Pokémon.

• There are a variety of hidden areas and you can even dive to explore new areas. Items and special events await you in these.
