Cheats make life easier for you as a gamer, and this is also the case in the survival computer game Valheim. We explain how you can open the cheat console and adjust all the settings to suit your needs.
Valheim: How to open the cheat console
To be able to use cheats in the Viking game Valheim, you need the cheat console. There are console commands for food, armour, weapons, tools and other things. But first you need to open the cheat console:
- Open your Steam library and search for Valheim.
- Right-click on “Properties”.
- Select “Start Options” under the “General” tab.
- In this field enter “-console”.
- Close the window and start the game.
- Now you can open the cheat console in your world with the “F5” key.
- First enter “devcommands” to activate the cheat mode.
- Enter “devcommands” again to deactivate the cheats.
Valheim: Important Cheats
You can use the given cheats for Valheim without hesitation. However, since cheats change the balancing of the game, you may be taking away some of the fun of the game, such as crafting, exploring and figuring things out for yourself. The following cheats in Valheim only work in single player mode:
- god – Activates the God Mode, you become invincible
- exploremap – The map is completely revealed
- help – Shows a list of all available cheat codes
- heal – Heals your character
- save – Saves the current world
- removedrops – All loot items in your environment will be removed
- puke – Hunger, stamina and health are reset to their initial values
- killall – All nearby enemies are killed
- goto (x,z) – Teleport to the coordinates you entered (x and y)
- raiseskill (skill) (amount) – The corresponding skill is increased by the value entered
- dpsdebug – The DPS debug display is activated
- resetwind – The settings for wind are reset to the default value
