If you can no longer use the online mode in Call of Duty, the servers are most likely down. We show you what to do now
Call of Duty: Why are the servers down?
- The servers are often overloaded, especially during the release of a new Call of Duty. Overloads can also occur at Christmas time or on weekends. But even minor errors or maintenance work can bring the servers to a standstill.
- In most cases, minor outages are fixed after a few minutes. Overloads can also cause problems for several hours or days. Maintenance work also takes several hours.
Call of Duty down: what you can do
- How many people are affected? On the AlleStörungen.de website you can find current reports from other users. If several hundred problems are reported, you can assume that the problem is widespread.
- Server Status: You can find the official server status on the Call of Duty website. Here you can access the respective displays for the games Black Ops 3, Advanced Warfare and Ghosts. If the status is “DEFCON 5”, everything is ok.
