If you want to add your own sound to your TikTok video, you can do this directly in the app. To do this, follow the steps below:
- First open TikTok and click the button with the “+” to create a video.
- Now tap the record button. Then press “V”. This will take you to the next page.
- On the right side you can now add filters, voice-over and speech effects as you wish.
- Using the “Synthesised Voice” function, you can add more mood to the spoken word.
- Post the video to your profile.
- There is a rotating plate at the bottom of the screen. Tap on this icon.
- Next, rename the sound so other users can search for it.
- Finally, save the sound under your favourites. This way you can find it again later and use it.

TikTok music copyrights are a complex issue that concerns many users of the platform. Information is circulating on the net that TikTok is simply transferring money to the rights holders. However, it is unlikely that everyone will benefit.
