In Google Maps you can easily create routes without a motorway. This setting can be entered in the route menu
Google Maps: Calculate route without motorway
Although routes without a motorway are often longer, they can have many advantages. For example, traffic jams can be avoided.
- First enter your desired route normally. Google Maps will first show you the route with a motorway.
- Next to the entry of the departure and destination locations is the options field. Click on the three dots and select “Route options “
- Here you can tick traffic routes that you want to avoid.
- Tick “Avoid motorways” and Google will immediately calculate one or more alternative routes.
