WhatsApp: merge 2 numbers under Android
If you have an Android smartphone, you can easily merge 2 numbers in WhatsApp. The prerequisite is that the smartphone has a dual SIM card slot and you have inserted a second SIM card with a second phone number. Alternatively, it also works with an eSIM.
- Open WhatsApp and tap on your profile picture
- Tap on the arrow next to your profile picture and on “Add account” in the context menu.
- Follow the instructions on the display. You can configure your own privacy and notification settings for the second WhatsApp account.
WhatsApp business for 2nd number
You have this option for both iPhone and Android smartphones.
- Download WhatsApp Business to your smartphone at the same time as WhatsApp. This is also possible as a private individual
- Now enter your second phone number when setting up WhatsApp Business.
- By the way, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a mobile number. You can also use a landline number to receive or send WhatsApp messages. You do have to verify the number, which is usually done using a code that is sent to the number. As this does not work with a landline number, simply use the “Let me call” option in this case.
