Cancel iCloud – this is how it works

If you no longer need the additional storage for your iCloud, you can cancel the monthly subscription at any time. We’ll show you how to do it.

iOS: Cancel iCloud storage

Apple offers you several storage options. These include a monthly subscription for storage capacity in iClous. If you would like to cancel or downgrade your paid iCloud storage, this is no problem and possible at any time. You can find out how to proceed step by step below.

• First open the “Settings” app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

• Tap on your name. You will then see the category “iCloud”.

• Tap on “iCloud” to open a new window. The category “Manage account storage” or “Manage storage” appears there.

• Tap on “Manage storage” and then on “Change storage plan”.

• Now select the “Downgrade Options” and log in to your Apple ID with your password.

• If you want to cancel your paid iCloud, simply select the free plan with 5 GB or “None”. Then confirm the process by clicking the “Done” button.

• The downgrade or cancellation of a paid iCloud storage plan will only take effect when the month you have already paid for has expired.

• Tip: Before you cancel or downgrade your iCloud account, save your data so that you don’t lose any content.
