Changing the iPhone keyboard – here’s how

by Tobias

In addition to the pre-installed iPhone keyboard, there are apps that change the one you have set up so far. They offer additional typing functions and individual settings. Here you can find out which apps are available and how you can change the iPhone keyboard.

These apps will change your iPhone keyboard

Alternative keyboard apps offer various functions and advantages. Three apps are briefly introduced below.

  • SwiftKey: This app automatically recognises the right words by swiping the keyboard, enhances them, makes word predictions and automatically sets spaces. SwiftKey is designed to learn from your writing style and remembers nicknames you use, slang and frequently used emojis.
  • Fleksy: This app offers a lot of room for creativity, as you can choose and customise the colours and design of the keyboard yourself. You can also add extensions to the keyboard for certain functions. For example, searching for terms can be done during a chat conversation and shared with others at the same time.
  • TextExpander: Abbreviations can be created for certain words, phrases or whole sentences, making typing and messaging faster.
