If you want to add fonts to Figma, there are a few things you need to know. Depending on which fonts you want to use, there are several ways to do it
Adding Figma Fonts: What you need to know
Figma has many fonts available for you to use in your projects. Here’s what you need to know:
- If you are using a Linux or Chrome OS computer, you cannot use your own fonts. In this case, only Google fonts and web fonts are available to you.
- If you are using a Mac or a Windows computer, you can also use your own fonts. These must be installed on your computer. Then they will appear in the list of Figma Fonts.
- Once a font is installed as a local font on your computer, you can also use your own fonts with Figma.
Use Figma in the browser
Use Figma only in the browser, you can use the fonts only if you install the font service manually:
- To use the Figma font service, you must be working on a Mac or Windows computer.
- Download the font service from Figma. You can find it at the Figma downloads.
- Redownload everything to be able to use the fonts in the browser as well.
