You can now send a video message on WhatsApp. This can be used instead of a voice message
Send a video message with WhatsApp: Instructions
If you want to show something and send it as a video, this is now possible with WhatsApp. It works very simply:
- Open WhatsApp. Tap the microphone button. You record the video directly in the app
- You will then see your camera icon instead of the microphone icon. A three-second countdown will be displayed so that you can prepare for the recording.
- Once this is done, you can record a video and send it just like a voice message by tapping “Send”.
- This function works the same for Android and iOS.
The most important things about the video notification function on WhatsApp
The video notification feature on WhatsApp is relatively new. The most important facts will help you find your way around.
- The video message must not be longer than 60 seconds. The message is recorded directly on WhatsApp in the same way as the voice message
- If someone sends you a video message, it will be played automatically without sound. The message appears in a round bubble, similar to Telegram.
- You cannot save the message or forward it to someone else.
