You can now send a video message on WhatsApp. You can use this instead of a voice message.
Send a video message on WhatsApp: Instructions
If you want to show something and send it as a video, this is now possible on WhatsApp. It works very simply:
- Open WhatsApp. Tap the microphone button. You record the video directly in the app.
- Instead of the microphone icon, you will then see your camera icon. A three-second countdown is displayed so that you can prepare for the recording.
- Once this is done, you can record a video and send it just like a voice message by tapping “Send”.
- This feature works the same for Android and iOS.
The most important things about the video notification function on WhatsApp
The video notification feature on WhatsApp is relatively new. Here are the most important facts to help you find your way around.
- The video message must not be longer than 60 seconds. The message will be recorded directly on WhatsApp just like the voice message.
- If someone sends you a video message, it will be played automatically without sound. The message will appear in a round bubble, similar to Telegram.
- You cannot save the message or send it on to someone else.
