Pokémon TCG Pocket supports redeeming codes. However, you’ll have to do a little searching to find out how.
Pokémon TCG Pocket: How to redeem a code
Pokémon TCG Pocket does indeed support a code redemption feature, but it is somewhat hidden and not directly available in the app. Codes can be officially entered on a special website (gift.pokemontcgpocket.com).
- To do this, you need your player ID, which can be found in the app at the top right of the menu at the very bottom. After entering your player ID and the code on the website, the rewards will be sent to the game and can then be accessed via the gift box in the game.
- Currently, there are only a few codes available, and they are usually time-limited. An example of a code that was valid until the end of August 2025 is: 33V33S5MM3R (reward: 24 pack hourglasses for booster openings).
- Codes from physical Pokémon booster packs cannot be redeemed in Pokémon TCG Pocket; they only work in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Live game.
- Basically, codes give you free items such as pack hourglasses, trade tokens, or sometimes booster packs. Current codes must be obtained from official sources such as the gift page or reputable websites, as there are no permanent or forever codes.
- Until 09/2025, there will still be a few codes available, but no permanent variety of codes. If new codes appear, you should regularly check the official website or reputable gaming portals.
Instructions: Redeeming codes in Pokémon TCG Pocket via the gifts website
To redeem codes in Pokémon TCG Pocket via the gifts website, follow these steps:
- Open the Pokémon TCG Pocket app on your device.
- Tap the menu icon (below the mission icon) in the bottom right corner of the game.
- Make a note of your player ID, which is displayed above your player name.
- Visit the official gift code website for Pokémon TCG Pocket: gift.pokemontcgpocket.com (this works on both PC and smartphone).
- Enter your Player ID in the appropriate field on the website.
- Enter the gift code you want to redeem below.
- Click “Submit” or “Send” to redeem the code.
- Then restart the game.
- Open the gift icon in the upper right corner of the game to collect your rewards from the mailbox.
What to do if a gift code does not arrive or expires
If a gift code does not arrive or has expired in Pokémon TCG Pocket, there are the following solutions:
- Check that you have entered the code correctly: When entering the code, make sure that it is spelled correctly, without any spaces or incorrect characters.
- Check the expiration date: Many codes have a limited validity period. If the code has expired, it can no longer be redeemed. There is no guarantee that expired codes will be extended.
- Check online: Make sure that the code is official and still valid. Official websites or reputable gaming portals are good sources.
- Correct player ID: Make sure that the player ID entered on the gift website is correct.
- Restart the game: After entering a code and successfully confirming it, the game should be restarted so that the gifts appear in the mailbox.
- Contact support: If the code does not work despite being entered correctly and having a valid expiration date, you can contact the game or platform support.
- Goodwill for expired codes: Some providers are accommodating and will extend codes or provide replacements if asked nicely—but this is not guaranteed.
- Check the terms and conditions: In Germany, vouchers are often subject to statutory time limits (e.g., a three-year limitation period). Expired codes may be eligible for a refund, but this must be checked on a case-by-case basis.
