Galaxy S7 won’t start: charge the battery and perform a soft reset
- Your Galaxy S7’s battery may be completely flat. Charge your smartphone for at least 30 minutes and then try to start it up again.
- When switching it on, press and hold the Power button until the Samsung logo appears.
- If the phone still won’t switch on, press the Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for 15 seconds. This will trigger a soft reset and restart the phone. Your data will not be deleted.
Samsung Galaxy S7 won’t start: Wipe Cache Partition
- If the Galaxy S7 won’t start, you can use the ‘Wipe Cache Partition’ function.
- Press and hold the Power button, the Home button and the Volume Up button for a few seconds.
- Release the Power button as soon as the device has vibrated once. Keep holding the Home and Volume Up buttons until you see the recovery menu on the screen.
- Use the volume buttons to select ‘Wipe Cache Partition’. Then restart your device by selecting ‘Reboot System’
