The variety of different flower colors makes horned violets particularly versatile when combined with other flowering plants.

Combining horned violets: Tips for great color combinations

The possibilities for combining horned violets are just as varied as the colors in which the delicate flowering plant comes in. However, some plants go particularly well with horned violets:

  • Tausendschön: Whether in white, soft pink, bright magenta or fiery red – Tausendschön is the ideal bedding partner for horned violets.
  • Forget-me-not: Forget-me-not is a beautiful addition to purple, yellow, orange or even multicolored horned violets as well.
  • Kitchen bells: White kitchen bells provide some peace and quiet in the colorful swarm of horned violets. However, pasqueflowers are also available in pink, dark purple and red.
  • Bowflower: White bowflowers with their many-petaled flowers also go wonderfully with horned violets. But purple and pink ones also make a harmonious ensemble with horned violets.
  • Ranunculus: Ranunculus make for an eye-catching addition to the horned violet carpet. Combine orange ranunculus with blue-violet horned violets, for example, or yellow ranunculus with pink horned violets.
  • Pansies:  Although pansies and horned violets look very similar, the larger flowers of pansies add a little variety to the bed.
  • Tulips: Plant tulips together with horned violets in the border. The different growth heights of tulips and horned violets will give your border a more varied look.
