Crossplay in Baldur’s Gate 3 is important for players who want to play together on different platforms. Unfortunately, this function is not offered.
Baldur’s Gate 3: No Crossplay
If you want to play Baldur’s Gate 3 multiplayer, you are limited to your respective platform. Larian Studios does not offer crossplay for the game.
- Owners of the PlayStation 5 and PC versions will not be able to explore Faerun together for this reason. It is still unclear whether the planned Xbox version of the game will support crossplay with the PC version.
- You can play the PC version on Windows and macOS regardless of the distribution platform used. These include Steam and GOG.
- Larian Studios has not commented on future cross-play integration. We will keep you informed about possible news on the subject.
Cross-save instead of cross-play in Baldur’s Gate 3
While crossplay is not available for Baldur’s Gate 3, you can enjoy a cross-save feature.
- This feature allows you to gamble with your characters and active save games regardless of platform. You can play at home on your PS5 while using a PC at a LAN party with friends instead.
- Cross-Save is available to all players who log into Baldur’s Gate 3 using their Larian Studios account. The account is free of charge.
- Then you have to log in on the platform you want to play on. Your scores will be synchronised and you can continue playing comfortably.
