Total War: EMPIRE: How to install the DarthMod
The modDarthMod Empire for “Total War: Empire” by the creator DARTH VADER is designed for a user-friendly installation.
- You must download the mod in version 8.0 Platinum and, if desired, the patch 8.0.1 Platinum and other sub-mods from the project’s ModDB page. A Steam Workshop version does not exist. All files together are about three gigabytes in size.
- You will receive an .exe installer, which you run as with other programs. If you download the mod in two parts, you must first unzip the DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum.zip file. Use the file path of DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum.exe as the destination.
- After executing the .exe file, the DarthMod installer will open. You will be prompted to uninstall old versions of the mod and check the Steam integrity of Total War: EMPIRE before installation.
- The installer will then guide you through the entire installation. You must specify the installation path of the game in between. This is probably located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\empire total war if you do not install your games in a different path.
- You can also decide whether you want to create shortcuts for all users of the computer or just you. Select the desired variant
- Once the installation is complete, install the patch in the same way. You can then start the DarthMod directly via the shortcut and play.
