Goat Simulator 3 multiplayer and crossplay
The bad news first, Goat Simulator 3 is not crossplay capable. Furthermore, the developer doesn’t seem to have any plans to allow cross-platform connectivity after the fact. Nevertheless, it is possible for you to connect with other players via the multiplayer. However, they must also own the PC version of the game for this, for example.
- In the game, three other players can join the chaos. This is possible both locally and via an integrated online co-op mode.
- Local mode works like in almost all games, you just need more controllers. Connect them and start the game. In the main menu, additional players must then press the indicated button to join.
- For online mode, connect with other players via the Friends option. From there, simply select a player and invite them. You can then experience Goat Simulator together.
Goat Simulator 3: Multiplayer Minigames
Once in multiplayer, you have the opportunity to compete against your friends in seven different games. These are often references to other well-known video games, such as football. To start the games, you do not have to visit them first. The games are available all over the map.
- In addition to the aforementioned football game, also known as hoofball, the games include the Ground is Lava and King of the Hill. A mode where you paint the surroundings with the goat’s horns is also available.
- You can also complete the story of the game with friends. Note, however, that any progress on the castle is only attributed to the player who is leading the game. The situation is different with quests. Their progress is saved.
- Whether you are following the story in multiplayer or beating each other’s brains out in mini-games with friends: With Goat Simulator 3 you can have a lot of fun with your friends.
