Private server: How to host it in Fortnite
The co-op survival shooter Fortnite is a popular game with various game modes.
- Depending on the mode, you can log in alone or in a group of up to four people to fight for survival against other players.
- Now you have the option of joining the game either randomly with strangers or specifically, via a password, with selected people.
- The advantage of joining with a password is that you can create practice matches, tournaments and private games.
- You will receive this password from an Epic partner. This is a person who has qualified for this by meeting certain requirements.
- If you want to host a game yourself, it costs you nothing, but you must become an Epic Partner yourself.
- If you already are, you can simply select the desired Battle Royale mode at the bottom of the main lobby in Fortnite to start the game.
- At the bottom right you will find “custom key”. There you can set your password, which you can then share with selected people.
- It is important that the host and player are in the same server region.
How to become an Epic Partner in Fortnite
Being part of a custom game has its advantages. However, if you are an Epic Partner yourself and therefore the host, you have even more options.
- If you are not an Epic Partner and would like to become one, you must fulfill a few requirements
- First of all, you need 1,000 followers on the platforms YouTube, Twitch, Twitter or VK. It makes sense if you also produce Fortnite content
- You can then apply for the Epic program on the Epic Games website. You can also showcase your best Fortnite content
- Collaborate with other Epic partners or other standout Fortnite community members to help you build greater reach and visibility.
- Always follow the guidelines provided by Epic Games. It is also important that you have reached the age of majority.
- If you are accepted as an Epic Partner, you will receive a Creator Code. If your community uses this for a purchase, you will receive a certain financial share.
