You can carry more in Skyrim if you improve your characters or equipment. There are several options available to you
Carry more in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim: Using Attributes and Perks
You can increase your carrying capacity in Skyrim by improving your stamina and using certain perks.
- Once you have risen a level as a Dovahkiin, use the points to improve your stamina. For every point invested, your stamina increases by a value of 5.
- One of the best perks for more space in your inventory can be found in the pickpocketing talent tree. Once you have reached a value of 50 here, you can immediately increase your carrying capacity by 100 with the ability More Space.
- We also recommend the perks Unhindered (light armor) and Conditioning (heavy armor). They reduce the weight of the armor worn to zero, which can have a noticeable effect on the carrying capacity.
- You can also use one of the boulders in Skyrim to increase your carrying capacity. North of Solitude you will find Wolf’s Skull Cave, near which you will find the Warhorse Stone.
- If you accept the sign, your carrying capacity is increased by 100 points. The armor you are currently wearing no longer carries any weight either.
- Tip: As a werewolf, your carrying capacity increases by a whopping 1,900 points while you are transformed. This makes it easy to transport large amounts of loot to your house.
Skyrim: How to carry even more in the game
Perks and your stamina are not the only ways to carry more in Skyrim. There are other methods you can use:
- Some enchanted items such as armor, helmets or rings have the enchantment Carrying Capacity Boost. If you find such an item, disenchant it to learn the enchantment
- You can then enchant items yourself to increase their carrying capacity. This also applies to alchemical recipes. Potions with the addition Strength or Plunder in their name ensure that you can carry more
- There are also some ingredients that provide a boost to your carrying capacity. These include, for example, giant toes, trama roots, falcon beaks or netch jelly.
- Your followers are also helpful. For example, you can give your wife or husband items to transport. This also applies to companions and companions
- These have a carrying capacity of 290 points or more, which can be very helpful. If you are already overloaded instead, simply sit on your horse. You can easily ride on the back of your steed and even use the fast travel function.
