Error codes in Minecraft have specific names that refer to elements of the game, such as Crossbow, Drowned or Ghast. The Crossbow error code occurs exclusively in the Minecraft Bedrock version and denies the player from logging in, often due to a connection or network problem.

  • First you should restart the Minecraft client, here it is recommended to wait briefly before restarting. It can also be useful to clean up the computer to delete outdated and broken system data. Also restart the computer so that the changes take effect
  • If that doesn’t work, make sure there is no age restriction enabled on the device that prevents the game from starting.
  • If it still doesn’t work: Go to Settings – Profile – Reset/Clear account sign-in data and restart Minecraft. Note: The translation of Clear account sign-in data may differ slightly in the German version.
  • Check if the Minecraft game files have been corrupted or are incomplete. If folders are missing or empty, the game will not start.
  • In the worst case, your Minecraft account has been hacked or locked. In this case, the only thing that helps is to contact Minecraft support. Be sure to have the email address you originally registered with ready for this.
