Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) is available for many different platforms. We explain how you can play MW2 in cross-play, cross-gen and with cross-progression.
- There’s Modern Warfare 2 for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
- The CoD title supports cross-platform play without limitations.
- The feature is enabled by default. If you want to turn off Modern Warfare 2 Crossplay, navigate to “Account” in the settings on the PlayStation and select “Crossplay: Disabled”.
- If you are playing on PC or Xbox, you will not be able to disable CoD MW2 Crossplay.
- If you have the game for multiple platforms, you can play Modern Warfare 2 with cross-progression. Just log in to the same Activision account to seamlessly switch between your devices.
Call of Duty MW2 Cossplay: Invite your friends – here’s how
In order to play MW2 with friends across platforms, you need to know the exact Activision name. In addition to the handle, this also includes a hash and a sequence of digits.
- If you want to invite friends, select “Social ☻ Invite Friends” from the menu.
- Choose “Enter Activision account to invite” here.
- Now enter the name of the friend here. Important: Pay attention to the number behind the hash to select the correct, unique name.
