Palia: How the multiplayer works

by Pramith

Palia is a “cozy multiplayer” game in which you can play on a server with numerous other players

Multiplayer in Palia explained

Palia is a cozy MMO with a lobby system that allows you to play together with others in the cozy world. If you want to play together with people from your circle of friends, this is also possible.

  • Palia has a friends menu that you can open via [O] on the PC or [Plus] on the Nintendo Switch. There you can see the friends you have already added as well as a list of users currently logged in to the server
  • You can add new people to your friends list by clicking on the plus symbol next to the list. Then simply enter the name of the Palia character (not the account name of the player). You can then send a friend request
  • Players can invite each other to the corresponding server via the friends menu. This is possible via the refresh symbol next to the contact. If the request is accepted, the invited players are automatically added to the server
  • You can also create a group using the plus symbol next to the name. The group function ensures that you are always shown the position of your friends via the compass and the map.
  • You can visit the property of your group members. To do this, interact with the blue sign near your house and you can select one of the people who is currently online. This makes it possible to cook together, cook around the garden or craft new items
  • You can also fish, mine or gather resources, hunt and catch insects as a team. As long as each person has acted once, for example when everyone has hit a mineral deposit with the pickaxe, everyone gets the same loot.
  • In addition, all team members receive various buffs, for example when fishing. This increases their effectiveness when carrying out the activity.
