Steam: Redeem a gift card – simple instructions

When you receive a gift card for Steam, you have to redeem the voucher on Steam. You can then use it to buy games in the Steam Store.

How to redeem your Steam gift card

Have you bought or received a voucher and now want to redeem the code on the Steam card, you have two options. Either visit this Steam website or activate the credit in the Steam desktop app.

• Click on “Games” in the top left corner and click on “Redeem a Steam credit code”.
• Now scratch the code free on your card and enter it in the “Steam credit code” field.
• Click on “Next”. If you did not make a mistake, the credit will be added to your account. It will then be displayed in the top right-hand corner of Steam next to your account name.
