by Johannes

If the Beko washing machine no longer works properly, the corresponding error codes usually already give an indication of the problem. Some faults can even be quickly rectified by yourself using this information.

These are the most common error codes in Beko washing machines\

Many washing machines are equipped with self-diagnosis systems. If there is a problem with the temperature, water inlet or outlet, or other malfunctions occur, the Beko washing machine will display the corresponding error code.

  • The error code R01 indicates that the required water level cannot be reached. The reason for this can be, for example, that the water tap is not turned on. However, a defective valve can also be the reason. In this case, a specialist may have to be called in.
  • The error code R02 occurs when the machine can no longer pump out the water properly. This is the case, for example, when a foreign object clogs the pump. Skilled do-it-yourselfers can fix the problem themselves. However, if the pump is broken, a professional should replace it.
  • With error code R03, the heating element is usually defective. Therefore, the required temperature can no longer be reached. In principle, you can replace the heating rod yourself if you have some technical understanding. In case of doubt, however, it is better to leave the repair to a professional craftsman.

Beko washing machines are relatively inexpensive and correspondingly popular. To ensure that you can enjoy your machine for many years to come, you should react to any error codes that occur and rectify the fault or have it rectified.

  • If the error code R04 occurs, the control unit must usually be replaced. It is better to have the repair carried out by a specialist. However, depending on the model, the cost of such a repair may come close to the purchase price of a new Beko machine
  • If the machine displays error code R07, it means that the door of the washing machine cannot be locked. Then check if the door is not locked correctly. This often solves the problem. However, the door lock may also be defective.
  • If the error code R10 indicates that the Aquastop has been triggered, you must act with the utmost urgency. This means that water is leaking from the machine. The Aquastop then uses a solenoid valve to prevent further inflow. In this case, stop the water supply immediately. Because if the solenoid valve fails, there is a risk of flooding in the home.
