There are lots of little everyday problems that can be solved very easily with life hacks:

1. Tea bags are ideal for neutralising unpleasant odours. To do this, simply place a tea bag in your shoe cupboard or the fridge for a few hours.
2. To stop your necklaces from getting tangled whilst you’re out and about, you can thread them through a straw first. This will keep your jewellery tangle-free.
3. If you don’t want your drink to be watered down by ice cubes, you can use fruit as an alternative. To do this, freeze some grapes, for example, and add them to your drink.
4. For a delicious ice lolly, you can freeze yoghurt . Choose your favourite flavour, insert a small teaspoon through the lid to act as a stick, and then freeze the yoghurt.
5. To hide valuables on the beach or at the swimming pool whilst you go for a swim, you can take an empty shampoo or shower gel bottle with you and stow them inside. An unused nappy also makes a good hiding place: simply pop your valuables inside and make it look as though you’ve done a number one. No thief will touch it.
6. All you need for sparkling white teeth is coconut oil. Simply take a tablespoon of the oil into your mouth for about 15 minutes, swish it around your mouth whilst you’re doing so, and then spit it out again.
7. Tealights sitting in a tall container are difficult to light with an ordinary lighter. To avoid burning yourself, you can first light a spaghetti noodle and then hold it against the candle’s wick.
8. If the children’s room is always a mess with little toy cars lying around everywhere, you can tidy things up using a magnetic strip for knives. Simply stick it to the wall and hang the little cars onto the magnetic strip.
9. When baking, you often need to separate egg yolks from egg whites. To make this step easier, all you need is a plastic bottle. To do this, place the opening of a squashed bottle over the egg yolk and suck it in.
10. To quickly clean your laptop’s keyboard, you can use a Post-it note or a piece of sticky tape. This way, the dirt and dust will stick to the adhesive.
