Download ringtones from YouTube to your phone for free: Here’s how
In just a few steps, you can download your favorite song from YouTube to your phone. Here’s how it works:
- Open the YouTube app on your smartphone and find the song you want to use as a ringtone.
- Then click “Share” below the video and select “Copy link.”
- Go to “notube.cc”.
- Paste the URL you just copied by long-pressing the field and then selecting “Paste”.
- Below that, you can choose the file format to which the video should be converted. MP3 is selected by default. You can leave it as is and tap “OK.”
- The file is now being converted. You can save it to your smartphone using the download button.
Set ringtones on your phone
After downloading the MP3 file, you need to set it as a ringtone on your smartphone.
- If you have an Android smartphone, open Settings and tap “Sounds & vibration” and “Ringtone”.
- Then tap the plus icon in the top right corner. You will now see all locally stored music files.
- Select the appropriate song and tap “OK”.
- Setting the ringtone on an iPhone is a bit complicated, as this cannot be done directly in the settings. Here, you’ll need to take a detour via the GarageBand app.
- Create a new project in the app and select “Audio Recorder.” Then tap the track icon in the top right corner and tap the “Files” tab.
- Click “Browse Items in Files App” and select the MP3 file you just downloaded. You can then drag and drop it into the project.
- Tap the Share button and select “Ringtone.” Confirm by tapping “Export.”
- A new window will open. Tap “Use Sound As…” and select “Default Ringtone”.
