For some time now, you can fast-forward videos on TikTok. This is very useful, especially because the maximum video length is now three minutes. We show you how to do it!
Fast-forwarding on TikTok is easy
If you missed an interesting part of a TikTok video, you don’t have to watch the whole video again. You can simply fast-forward or rewind.
- There is a white line at the bottom of the app. You can use it to rewind.
To do this, place your finger on the small white dot and move it to the desired position in the video.
Not every video can be fast-forwarded
The function is not yet available for shorter videos. In this case, no white line can be seen.
- A video must have a minimum length of 30 seconds in order to be able to fast-forward.
- However, if you cannot rewind longer videos, check whether you have the latest version of the app. If not, simply download the update.
- If you want to show good videos to your friends on TikTok, that is also possible. To do this, press the arrow on the right side of the app. There you can send videos to other TikTok users or even to your WhatsApp contacts.
- What videos you see is determined by the app’s algorithm. What you like, share or comment on and how long you watch which videos influences what TikTok shows you.
