If there are some photos on Instagram you no longer want to see, you can simply hide them. This means you no longer need to delete them. We’ll show you how to do this.
Guide: Hiding photos on Instagram
For many users, a photo with an ex or old youthful indiscretions no longer belongs on their Instagram timeline. With some photos, however, you simply can’t bring yourself to delete them. Instagram now has a solution for this: archiving.
- Open the Instagram app and select the photo you want to hide.
- Tap the button with the three dots in the top right-hand corner next to the photo.
- The new ‘Archive’ option will now appear at the very top. The photo will now disappear from your profile.
- Open your profile and look for a button in the top right-hand corner featuring a clock and an arrow. This is where you’ll find all your archived photos.
- If you select the photo, you can use the options button again to choose ‘Show on profile’, and the photo will once more be visible to all your followers.
