- Most shops are open until 2 pm. So not only discounters and supermarkets are open on Christmas Eve, but also other shops.
- There are exceptions, however: Supermarkets and shops that are in the immediate vicinity of railway stations, ferry terminals or airports can stay open until 5 p.m.
- Pharmacies and petrol stations are open until 0am, so last-minute shopping is possible here around the clock.
