Worldwide, around 1 billion people currently use the social network TikTok. As of February 2022, a young female influencer is in the top spot of TikTok stars with the most followers.
- Charli D’Amelio – 135 million followers: the 17-year-old US-American uploaded her first dance videos on TikTok in the summer of 2019 and amassed millions of followers in a flash. She is also successful on Instagram and YouTube and, together with her sister Dixie D’Amelio, campaigns for Unicef against cyberbullying.
- Khabane Lame – 131 million followers: During the Corona pandemic, the Senegalese living in Italy lost his job, moved back to his parents and created a TikTok channel. With great success: Khaby’s videos, in which he makes fun of useless lifehacks, made him the second largest account on TikTok by now and the largest in Europe.
- Bella Poarch – 88 million followers: The influencer grew up in the Phillipines before relocating to the US as a teenager. Although she has only been posting lip-sync videos on TikTok since April 2020, she is already one of the platform’s most successful stars.
- Addison Rae – 86 million followers: Addison Rae Easterling has been regularly providing her followers with new videos since July 2019. As a result, the 21-year-old quickly became known as a singer and dancer and finally released her own first single “Obsessed” in March 2021.
- Zach King – 67 million followers: The 32-year-old US filmmaker shows digitally produced “magic tricks” in his videos, which he has been sharing with his followers on TikTok since 2018. He had his first big success at the age of 18 with YouTube tutorials for the video editing software “Final Cut Pro”.
- Will Smith – 66 million followers: With his 53 years, the well-known actor is the oldest TikToker among the top 10 accounts. He has been entertaining his followers with funny clips via his TikTok profile since October 2019.
- TikTok – 60 million followers: On its own TikTok page, the Chinese company presents new features and trends. It also regularly introduces its followers to up-and-coming TikTok artists.
- Kimberly Loaiza – 59 million followers: Kimberly Loaiza started her career on YouTube in 2016. Her song “Don’t be jealous”, released in 2020, reached top positions in the charts of many countries.
- Dixie D’Amelio – 57 million followers: Like her younger sister Charli, Dixie D’Amelio is one of the ten most successful TikTokers. The 20-year-old singer and actress released her second single “One Whole Day” in 2020 in collaboration with Wiz Khalifa.
- Burak Ozdemir – 56 million followers: On TikTok, Burak Ozdemir prepares Turkish dishes. In addition to his social media presence, the chef with Kurdish roots owns his own chain of restaurants where he serves Middle Eastern cuisine.
