Twitter: Creating a profile – this is how it’s done

Creating a profile on the social network Twitter is not difficult. You need either a Google account, an Apple account, a valid e-mail address or a telephone number.

How to set up a Twitter profile

If you have a Google or Apple account, simply log in with it. Your new Twitter account is already created. If you don’t have one of these accounts, the sign-up process is slightly different:

• Visit the Twitter website.
• Select with “Register email address or phone number”. Enter the requested data.
• You will then need to verify your identity. Depending on whether you entered a phone number or email address when registering, you will either receive an SMS with a code or a confirmation email with a link. After you enter the code or click the link, your account will be created.
• Now Twitter will introduce you to some people and topics to follow. After that, your new Twitter account can be used.
• Alternatively, install the Twitter app and create your account there. You will also be guided through the registration process step by step.
