• Is AirDrop activated? Make sure that you have activated AirDrop. On most iOS devices, this is actually always the case as long as Wi-Fi is switched on.

• Are both devices close to each other? There should not be too much distance between the devices, as AirDrop only works within Bluetooth range.

• Are you visible to everyone? If the sender is not one of your contacts, you must specify in the settings that everyone can see your device. To do this, simply search for the AirDrop entry in the system settings and set it there.

• Have you tried a restart? If none of the above approaches have helped, you can try a restart. Sometimes processes get in the way of themselves, or bugs occur in the background that can be fixed with a restart.

• Is the latest version installed? If AirDrop still does not work, make sure that you have the latest version installed. If necessary, update the software to the latest iOS version.
