In order to install iOS 16 on your iPhone, the operating system must be compatible. iPhone models up to 5 years old will still receive the update

iOS 16: These new features are available
iOS 16 has been available since 12 September 2022 and offers the following new features, among others:
- Personalisation: With iOS 16, widgets can be added to the lock screen for the first time. Furthermore, you can use animated wallpapers to personalise your lock screen.
- Focus function: To better separate different areas of your life, you can use different lock screens. In addition, a filter can be used to determine which app content should be displayed in each case.
- Messages and mails: In iOS 16, you can delete messages and mails that have been sent, as well as edit them after they have been sent.
- Apple Pay: You can now pay in instalments via Apple Pay. There is also the option of using iPhones as card terminals.
