When you see the little blue creature from “Lilo & Stitch”, you immediately wonder what kind of animal Stitch is. But the movie character cannot be categorized.
What kind of animal is Stitch?
Although “Lilo & Stitch” was released in 2002, interest in the Disney film remains high. In particular, the main character Stitch has become a true cult object. Numerous merchandise products such as T-shirts or backpacks can still be seen on the streets today. But who is Stitch, really?
- At first glance, you might think that Stitch is an animal. His big, dark beady eyes and round nose remind you of a koala. However, the long ears speak against it.
- In fact, the first movie explains what kind of creature Stitch is. And he is not an animal, but an alien! Stitch was created by a mad scientist named Dr. Jumba Jookiba.
- Jookiba conducted illegal genetic experiments and actually wanted to bring creatures to life that are particularly chaotic and destructive. Stitch was his experiment number 626. But the alien proves to be not evil, but lovable.
- When Stitch accidentally comes to Earth, he disguises himself as a dog and is immediately adopted by Lilo, a Hawaiian girl. She manages to teach the little blue, intelligent and mischievous creature Earthly behavior.
