If you have deleted a contact on WhatsApp, you may be wondering what the other person can still see. After all, you may not want the person to see anything else.
What someone whose contact has been deleted on WhatsApp can see
There are many reasons why people delete a contact on WhatApp. Often you don’t want the other person to know what’s going on in your life.
- The good thing is that you can mostly influence what the other person can still see.
- So you can set who can see your profile picture, status and info on your mobile phone. You do this in the privacy settings. If you select “My contacts”, the deleted person will no longer see these things.
- The privacy settings also allow you to set whether everyone can see whether you are online or when you were last online. If you do not want anyone to be able to see this, select “No one” and in the field “Who can see when I am online?”, tap on “As with “Last online””.
- If you do not select the second option, the person will still be able to see whether you are currently online or not.
- What cannot be prevented is that the other person will still have the shared chat.
- Furthermore, they can continue to write to you unless you block the number.
