If you want to free up space on your phone storage, you can move your offline playlists from Spotify to an external SD card.
Move offline playlists from Spotify to SD memory card
In the Spotify app of Android smartphones, you can set your playlists to be saved to the SD card. To do this, you need to change the storage options:
- Open the Spotify app and tap on “Start” (house icon) at the bottom left to enter the menu.
- Now tap on the cogwheel at the bottom right to open the settings.
- Tap on “Memory”.
- You can now change the storage location of your downloads to the SD card. Confirm your choice with “OK” in the following dialogue box. Depending on the size of your playlists, moving them may take some time.
