- In order to run the game at all you need a processor with Intel Core i5-6300U or AMD Ryzen 5 2400G and an Intel HD 520 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 1 graphics card.
- DirectX must be version 12 and memory must have 8 gigabytes of RAM.
- The operating system must run at least Windows 10 64bit or Windows 11 64bit. There must also be at least 50 gigabytes of storage space available.
- But ideally you’d rather have a processor withIntel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, a RAM with16 giga bytes of RAM.
- The GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card works best.
Age of Empires 4 – This is what the game is about
In Age of Empires 4, as in previous games, you control semi-automatic villagers. They are supposed to mine the available raw materials such as wood, stone and gold. With these, you can then create buildings, military items and new technologies. This is how you develop your civilisation.
- Historically, the game is set in the Middle Ages. You can choose different peoples as a geographical starting point.
- In Age of Empires 4, these are the Empire of China, the Holy Roman Empire, the Mongolian Empire, the Empire of Rus and the Sultanate of Delhi. In Age of Empires 4, there are far more differences in play style depending on the world region chosen.
- You then replay historical, authentic events. In Age of Empires 4, for example, the Norman Conquest of England.
- In terms of time progression, you play through the four eras of Dark Ages, Feudal Ages, Fortress Ages and Imperial Ages.
- Age of Empires 4 is even more concerned with historical authenticity than its predecessors. Therefore, the languages and dialects of the peoples change over time.
