How to delete your island in Animal Crossing
In the Nintendo Switch game Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can only modify your assigned island to a limited extent during the game. However, there is an option to change the island.
- It should be emphasized that you have to reset all your data to change the island. This includes all your progress and player achievements
- First of all, you must quit the game you are currently playing. Then you can go to the system settings of the Nintendo Switch, which can be found behind the gear icon.
- Locate the “Data management” item in the settings and then select “Delete save data”. Under this item, you have several options to choose which data you can delete
- You must select the Animal Crossing game and then select and confirm “Delete all saved data for this software”. This will reset the entire game, including the island assigned to you at the start.
- When you restart the game, you will be randomly assigned a new island. However, you will again not be able to choose this island freely
