You can find Kecleon in Pokémon Go since January 2023. However, tracking down and catching this Pokémon works a little differently than with other pocket monsters.
How to catch Kecleon in Pokémon Go
Kecleon has been part of Pokémon Go since the first Community Day of 2023. However, the chameleon Pokémon is not so easy to find.
- Kecleon does not appear on the map like the other Pokémon in the game. Instead, it hides at various Pokéstops.
- Kecleon can hide behind any Pokéstop. Therefore, to find it, you have to tap on different Pokéstops. You may have to visit many Pokéstops before you find the new Pokémon.
- If a Kecleon is hiding at a Pokéstop, the message “Something invisible is blocking the way. It’s preventing you from collecting items… “
- The transparent outline of the chameleon Pokémon now appears on the Pokéstop’s turntable. Tap the Pokémon several times until it jumps down from the Pokéstop.
- Once the Pokémon is no longer visible on the turntable, you can close the Pokéstop. Kecleon will now appear next to the Pokéstop and can be caught as usual.
