Before you can start casting spells at Hogwarts Legacy, you have to get a wand from the wandmaker Ollivander in Hogsmeade. As always, the wand chooses the wizard, not the other way around.
This is how you get your wand in Hogwarts Legacy
At the beginning of the game, you initially have a spare wand in Hogwarts Legacy, but are soon encouraged to choose your own from the wandmaker Ollivander in Hogsmeade.
- In order to get the wand, you must accept the first main mission. This will take you to Hogsmeade and then to Ollivander’s wand shop.
- The wand maker offers you various models in a video sequence, but just like in the Harry Potter book, you don’t have much choice here. The wand chooses the wizard, not the other way around.
- You can, however, make various settings afterwards. However, these only affect the appearance of the wand and not its strength or abilities. With the wand style, you can determine the appearance of your wand.
- The choice of core also makes no difference. Here you can choose between unicorn hair, dragon heart fibre and phoenix feather.
- With the type of wood you determine the flexibility and length of your wand.
Transfer wand from Harry Potter fan club
Even before the release of Hogwarts Legacy, users had the option to create their own wand.
- This option is still available if you have an account with the Harry Potter Fan Club.
- There you will answer a few questions that will determine which of the four houses of Hogwarts you will be placed in.
- In addition, your answers will affect the appearance of your wand,
- By linking the Harry Potter fan account to the Warner Bros Games account, it is possible to transfer this wand into the game.
