If you’ve played through the base game of Diablo 2: Resurrected ad nauseum and want to experience something new, community-created mods can make the game interesting again.

Installing Diablo 2: Resurrected mods – here’s how to do it

The easiest way to install mods for Diablo 2: Resurrected is to use the Mod Manager, which makes the process a lot easier.

  • Caution: Before you start installing mods, it is important to note that the use of mods is not tolerated by the publisher’s official side, and in the worst case scenario you can expect your account to be restricted or even banned. While this does not happen often, it is still a danger you need to be aware of.
  • Using the Diablo 2: Resurrected Mod Manager will make managing and installing mods a lot easier.
  • After you have downloaded the file and unzipped it using software such as 7zip, you are almost ready to go.
  • In the now extracted Mods Manager folder, you will find the mods folder. In the future, copy the mods to be installed for the game into this folder.
  • To do this, start Battle.net and click on the Diablo 2: Resurrected icon. Next to the big blue play button, click on the cogwheel. The second option from the top “Show in Explorer” opens the game’s destination folder for you. Double-click on the folder. Then click on the address line of the explorer, which highlights the file path in blue. Press CTRL + C to copy the path to the clipboard.
  • When you now navigate back to the Mods Manager you can paste the copied file path by pressing CTRL + V.
  • If you have copied mods to be installed into the mods folder, you will find them in the Mod Manager under the Mods tab. There you can also install them directly.
  • When they are installed, start Diablo 2: Resurrected directly via the Mod Manager using the Run D2R button.
