There are various ways to play Fortnite on your cell phone. The operating system used is the most important factor here
Play Fortnite on your cell phone: Important information about the mobile version
You can play Fortnite on Android and iOS smartphones. Please note the following differences:
- You can download the Android and Samsung Galaxy version of Fortnite directly via the Epic Games app. To do this, you must visit the respective download page (Android/Samsung) and start the download
- This version requires at least a 64-bit Android 10 smartphone with four gigabytes of RAM, an ARM64 processor and the following graphics chips: Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or more powerful and Adreno 530 or more powerful
- Other than that, you can use the cloud version of the game, which primarily requires a good internet connection. This is possible free of charge via the cloud services Xbox Cloud Gaming, Amazon Luna and Nvidia GeForce Now.
- iPhones can only play the cloud version of Fortnite. A download is therefore not necessary.
- Fortnite on the smartphone supports customized touchscreen controls and a range of gamepads. You can use the following controllers with the download version via Bluetooth: Steelseries Stratus XL, Gamevice, Sony DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller, Xbox Wireless Controller, Razer Raiju Mobile, Razer Junglecat and the Moto Gamepad.
- If you play the cloud version instead, the supported controllers depend on the service used. You should therefore check this in advance. Keyboard and mouse are not compatible with the mobile Fortnite version
- Functions such as voice chat and crossplay are available and can be used as usual. You also play in the current season and therefore don’t have to worry about outdated content.
