- Depending on the device and cable, transmission via HDMI works over 10 to 20 meters. The strength of the signal decreases steadily over the length of the cable. The better the cable and the HDMI chip in the device, the longer the cable can be.
- With HDMI cables, there is no loss of quality if the cable is too long. However, if the cable is too long, noticeable problems such as sound or picture hangs occur. With an HDMI extension cable or an HDMI extension, you can usually achieve a range of around 20 meters without errors occurring.
