Dyson Airwrap won’t start properly – possible causes and solutions

If the Dyson Airwrap doesn’t start, there are a few things you can do to get it working again. Just because it doesn’t work at the moment doesn’t mean it has a permanent defect. The solution to the problem basically addresses the cause.

• First check if the cable of the unit is in good condition. See if it is kinked or if your pet has bitten into it. Straighten the cable. If it is damaged, apply insulating tape to the area. However, have an electrician check whether you can continue to use the Dyson as it is.

• Another reason may be overheating. If you have been using the unit for a long time, it may be overloaded. Wait a while for it to cool down and try again.

• The filter may be dirty and needs to be cleaned before the Dyson Airwrap will work again. A small light should come on to indicate when the filter needs cleaning.

• In any case, clean the filter by removing the cover at the bottom and cleaning the filter with the brush. Then wipe the cover and filter with a microfibre cloth.

• Check also that the attachments are correctly seated on the pole and that they are in perfect condition.

• If the Dyson Airwrap still doesn’t start, you should contact customer service.
