Update for Amazon Echo – here’s how
To ensure that your Amazon Echo always has the latest software, all you need is an existing Wi-Fi connection between the device and your router.
- Amazon always automatically provides each Echo device (Echo, Echo Plus, Echo Dot and Echo Show) with the latest device software.
- If this is not the case, disconnect the power plug from the device for a few seconds and then reconnect it to the Amazon Echo. Alexa will then tell you that an update is being performed.
- Alternatively, you can go to the settings in the Alexa app to see if your device is up to date.
