Which services are part of Stability AI

Stable Diffusion is by far the most famous creation from the house of Stability AI, but it’s not the only form of artificial intelligence the company has developed.

• Stable Diffusion, a text-to-image generator, can generate any image you can think of that you describe to it in simple or complicated words.

• StableLM, on the other hand, is a language model that is capable of writing text on its own. Similar to Stable Diffusion, you give the program an input command, called a prompt, and the model generates a text.

• For example, you can tell StableLM, “Write an essay about dwarf poodles,” or “Explain to me what a library is,” and the program can give you an answer.

• An alternative language model is ChatGPT. StableLM’s model is smaller than its competitor, but quite capable.

• Other models from Stability AI include Deep Floyd IF and Stable Vicuna.

• Deep Floyd IF is also a text-to-image generator, with the distinction that it first produces a very low-resolution image and then upscales it itself, i.e. increases the resolution.

• Stable Vicuna is a chatbot similar to StableLM and ChatGPT.
