Amazon Prime Video: Download movies to your SD card

If you want to download a lot of films and series at once, you will quickly run into storage problems. That’s why the Amazon Prime Video app for Android allows you to save films and series to your SD card. However, you have to activate this function in the settings. You can stream Amazon Prime with the Fire TV Stick, for example.

  • To do this, start the app on your device and log in to your Amazon account.
  • Tap the menu icon with the three horizontal bars in the top left corner.
  • Now tap on the first entry “Streaming and Download”.
  • Select the “Settings” entry at the end of the menu.
  • Lastly, activate the item “Download videos to SD card”. In the future, Amazon Prime Video will automatically save all downloads to your SD card.
  • From here, of course, you can copy the data to an external hard drive, just as with other photos and videos.
