If you want to delete your account with Spotify, this can be done in a few steps via the website. However, the function is not very easy to find.
Delete Spotify account: here’s how to do it
To delete your Spotify account, follow these steps on your smartphone or desktop:
- Open Spotify’s support page and sign in with your account.
- Click “Close account and delete all data.” Provided that you have subscribed to Spotify Premium and you want to end your subscription with the account deletion, use the first link. If you use Spotify for free, click the second link.
- To proceed with account closure, press “Close account”.
- To continue, press “Next” to confirm that the account displayed is the correct account.
- Confirm the deletion of your data by checking “I have read and understood this information” and clicking “Next”.
- Now you will receive an email from Spotify to the address you have provided. There you will find the button “Close my account”, through which you can complete the process within the next 24 hours.
- Your account will now be disabled for 7 days and can be restored at any time during the period. After the period expires, your account will be permanently deleted.
