There are several ways to transfer events from Facebook to Google Calendar. In this practical tip, we explain the easiest way to export your events.
Synchronise appointments from Facebook with Google Calendar – Here’s how:
Facebook has released a new tool that allows you to share various data from Facebook with other services like Google Calendar. You can also export your appointments and add them to another service.
– Open Facebook’s “Transfer Your Data” tool.
– Select “Google Calendar” as the destination and confirm with “Next Step”.
– Now select whether you want to transfer all appointments or only those from a specific period. Then select “Next step”.
– Now click on “Connect and start transfer “
You will now be redirected to Google. Here you must log in with your Google data or confirm your identity.
– If you are granting access for the first time, you must confirm that you are giving Facebook access to your calendar. Then confirm by clicking “Next”.
– You will be redirected back to Facebook. Here you can see the status of the current transfer. As soon as the transfer has been completed, you will also receive a Facebook notification.
Facebook: Export individual appointments
If you only want to export individual events, you can also transfer your events via another method.
– On your computer, open the event page of the event you want to export.
– Select the “…” icon on the right for more options and click on “Export event”.
– Now you can select whether you want to export the event directly or send it to you as an email. Confirm your selection with “Export”.
– The appointment is thus exported as an .ics file. You can import it into Google Calendar.
