Forget your Twitter password – here’s how to solve the problem
If you have forgotten your password for Twitter, you need to reset it.
- Open the password reset link to go to the appropriate form from Twitter.
- Now enter either your email address, mobile number or Twitter name and click “Search”.
- Email: Open your email inbox and the mail from Twitter. It should arrive in about a minute. The link in the mail will take you to a form again.
- Mobile phone number: After a short time, you will receive an SMS with a sixteen-digit code. You simply have to type this code into the field provided in the browser. You will then be taken to another form. The function can only be selected if you have entered your number in the settings beforehand.
- For all variants, you can now enter your desired password twice in the new form and click “Send”. You will now have access to your Twitter profile again using the new password.
- By the way: You can also reset the password in the same way via the app. To do this, simply click on “Forgotten your password?” on the login page.
